Founder & Chairman
Adam Southam is a broad-based strategic thinker with more than 25 years of leadership, innovation, strategy, invention, business start-up, branding and marketing excellence. He has conceived several patented and patent-pending inventions related to health, fitness, functional and preventative medicine, broadcast media, ecommerce and distribution channel management. He consults with companies internationally and holds positions on several Boards of Directors and Advisory Boards. Southam is engaged to speak at conferences, trade shows, colleges and universities on topics of innovation, branding, patent prosecution & defense, business and channel management. Adam is an exercise fanatic, avid downhill skier, mountain biker and former equestrian. He has a long history of leading charitable events and fundraising initiatives.

Alex Danzberger

President & COO
Alex Danzberger brings over 30 years of leadership success across a variety of industries as well as international assignments in Asia Pacific with a focus on finance, business operations, strategy, and business development. He has a proven history of thriving in an environment of change where discernment and strong business acumen are essential skills for rapid situation assessment and success. Danzberger’s more recent focus on digital transformation has led to executive roles responsible for the development and implementation of organic and in-organic growth strategies in the areas of global ecommerce at Digital River and online. Brion Finlay

Chief Technology Officer
Brion has over 25 years of enterprise software design, development, management and team leadership within Guidant, Boston Scientific, Corventis and Medtronic. As Chief Architect, he has completely re-architected and re-written our core systems in favor of highly scalable and accurate architecture that can bear significant loads. He constantly looks for problems, develops strategies and executes solutions for our system needs.

Kelly Callahan

Executive Vice President
Kelly is an innovative business development leader with over ten years’ experience in the insurance, photography and network marketing industries where she successfully led sales hunters and account managers to continually improve outcomes and corresponding ROI. She is responsible for partner success through programming, education, coaching and general management.

Dan Lynch

Executive Vice President
Dan Lynch’s primary role as Executive Vice President of MyFormulary is to develop partnership relationships within the health and fitness industry. Dan has an extensive background in the health and fitness industry, having been actively engaged in the development of medical fitness centers since 1973 when he started at Mobil Oil Corporation, since developed centers for Chase Manhattan Bank, HBO and consulted with companies like American Express, First Chicago, Merrill Lynch and others. Since 1997 he has been exclusively involved with medically integrated health and fitness centers. Dan was responsible for the creation of the American College of Sports Medicine’s Health & Fitness certification.

Brian Beutner

Brian K. Beutner, JD, is General Counsel of Bright Health, an innovative connected healthcare experience. He served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of MNSure, Minnesota’s health insurance exchange, from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of mPay Gateway, Inc. From his beginnings as General Counsel of UnitedHealthcare, Beutner has become a seasoned executive at the intersection of healthcare administration and banking. While at UnitedHealth Group from 1999 through 2005, he was one of the founders of its consumer finance business, chartered Exante Bank, and served as its Chair for three years. From 1991 through 1998, he was an executive at Jostens, Inc., served as a General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. He has held numerous board positions at companies of all sizes and currently serves on the Board of Governors for MyFormulary LLC. Beutner received a Master’s in Business Administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a JD from the University of Michigan Law School

Alex Danzberger

Bruce Paddock

Experienced President with a demonstrated history of working in the pharmaceuticals industry. Skilled in U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Pharmaceutics, Medical Devices, Strategic Planning, and Business Development. Strong business development professional graduated from the University of Minnesota-College of Pharmacy. Paddock worked in metro area pharmacies as a pharmacist floater for seven years, including a job overseeing the production line at a small and struggling manufacturer of compounding supplies. When the manufacturer went bankrupt, Paddock saw an opportunity and committed all he had, plus a bank loan, to buy the company’s used equipment and one delivery van. In 2011 Bruce sold Paddock Labs for $540MM, having built one of the largest private businesses in Minnesota, and one of the nation’s top generic drug development and manufacturing firms.

Kevin Steele

Dr. Kevin Steele is actively engaged in the health and fitness industry. He began his career with a private personal training business while a faculty member in Physical Education, Sports Medicine, and Coaching at Pepperdine University. During this period; he also worked with a local physician specializing in Preventive Executive Healthcare Programs for corporations throughout the United States. Dr. Steele was then recruited by Health & Tennis Corporation of America to be Director of Education, Research, and Member Services; where he managed the fitness department and launched the first national platform for personal training. Following Health & Tennis Corporation he joined the senior management team of 24 Hour Fitness initially as the VP of Health Services/Corporate Sales; where he managed the fitness department, the corporate wellness department, integrated health care into the clubs, and developed 24 Hour Fitness University, later he became VP of Sports Marketing.

Dr. Henry Blissenbach
Dr. Blissenbach graduated from the University of Minnesota, College of Pharmacy where he earned his Pharm.D. degree. Upon graduating, he practiced pharmacy for nearly fifteen years at United and Children’s Hospitals of St. Paul, where he led the genesis of decentralized pharmacists and clinical pharmacists practicing in the patient care areas. It was at United Hospitals where he also precepted an ASHP Clinical Residency Program. In 1986, Hank joined United HealthCare, Inc. (now UnitedHealth Group, Inc.) and was part of the beginning of the Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM) movement. He served as president of United Healthcare’s PBM, Diversified Pharmaceutical Services (DPS). While at DPS, he became one of the founding fathers of the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacists (AMCP). He also served on numerous pharmaceutical company advisory boards and has published several papers; he was also a contributing author to The Managed Care Healthcare Handbook. In 1997, he joined Chronimed, Inc., a specialty pharmacy company, where he served as the President, CEO, and Chairman. In 2004, he merged Chronimed with an East Coast specialty pharmacy company to form BioScrip, where he continued as CEO. After retiring in 2006, Hank served as Interim CEO and Chair of Ligand, Inc., a pharmaceutical company based in San Diego, California. He then formed Osprey Enterprises, a healthcare consulting and investment company of which he is currently president and chairman. A long time advocate and supporter of individuals with disabilities, Hank has served as a member, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Opportunity Partners, a non-profit organization that serves the life skills training and placement needs of persons with developmental disabilities.
Dr. Stephen Black
Stephen A. Black is an assistant professor in the Department of Physical Therapy and Health Professions at Florida Gulf Coast University.  Stephen has 25+ years experience in the health and wellness industry.  He has traveled the world promoting healthy lifestyles and providing expert insight and research in areas related to rehabilitation, fitness and sports specific training.  He has worked with professional teams including NFL, NBA, NHL, WNBA and ABL/NBL affiliates. As a Physical Therapist, Athletic Trainer and Strength and Conditioning Coach, Stephen utilizes his expertise and experience to the benefit of his students and clients.  Currently Stephen has academic responsibilities within the physical therapy, athletic training and human performance disciplines at the university.  His research pursuits include evidence based investigation of cardiac changes in endurance athletes, assistive devices to enhance performance and reduce injury and the ever growing incidence of overweight and obese youth.    In addition to his above-mentioned responsibilities, Stephen is a much sought after and respected presenter to the health and wellness industry.  He serves as an advisor to several organizations and non-profit entities.In his spare time Stephen enjoys recreational activities such as running, cycling, swimming, skiing and experiential activities that lead to a balanced/integrated lifestyle.  He has completed multiple endurance events including the Ironman World Championship in Kona, HI.  Stephen’s passion is in assisting others achieve the lifestyle they aspire to
Dr. Reid Blackweider

Reid B. Blackwelder, MD, FAAFP, a family physician in Kingsport, Tenn., is president of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Previously, he served three years as a director on the AAFP Board and one year as president-elect. Blackwelder was elected president-elect in October 2012 by the Congress of Delegates, the AAFP’s governing body. The AAFP represents 115,900 physicians and medical students nationwide.

 

As president of the AAFP, Blackwelder advocates on behalf of family physicians and patients nationwide to inspire positive change in the U.S. health care system.

 

In addition to his duties as AAFP president, he serves as director of the Medical Student Education Division for the Department of Family Medicine at East Tennessee State University’s James H. Quillen College of Medicine in Johnson City, Tenn., where he is also a professor of family medicine. He previously served as program director of the Kingsport Family Medicine Residency Program of ETSU for more than 13 years and remains on faculty at the residency.

 

A member of the AAFP since 1980, Blackwelder has served on and chaired numerous committees and commissions whose work has focused on continuing professional development and education. In 2008, the AAFP awarded Blackwelder its Exemplary Teacher of the Year Award.

Dr. David Blyweiss
David J. Blyweiss, MD began his medical career as a clinical pharmacist in South Florida prior to earning his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in 1982. This dual background allowed him to appreciate the relevance of conventional pharmaceutical/surgical based treatments in acute medical conditions, but also to recognize where these approaches fell short in treating the vast majority of patients who suffered from the chronic degenerative diseases of “western civilization origin”. Over the last twenty years, with the nutritional medical knowledge base expanding in the fields of nutrigenomics, proteomics and other related “orthomolecular” disciplines directed towards patients’ biochemical individuality, Dr. Blyweiss became an early adherent, experienced practitioner and now teacher of what would become known as “functional medicine”. Dr. Blyweiss has used this matrix of systems biology to effectively manage and alleviate the symptoms related to the most “difficult-to-treat” conditions by addressing the underlying causes, helping to guide the body to heal itself.
Dr. Jeffrey Fedorko
Dr. Jeffrey Fedorko, DC, is a licensed Chiropractor serving the Canton community. After graduating with his bachelor’s in biochemistry from Juniata College in Huntington, Pennsylvania, Dr. Fedorko went on to receive his doctorate of chiropractic from the National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, Illinois. Dr. Jeffrey Fedorko has been freeing people from pain in the clinic in Canton, Ohio for years. As a Chiropractor with experience, Dr. Jeffrey Fedorko is committed to promoting the optimal health and well being of patients. While extensively involved with several professional chiropractic associations, Dr. Fedorko has served as various elected professional positions for a number of them and is currently President of the Congress of Chiropractic State Associations. He has been awarded the Presidents Award, Boss of the Year Award and Chiropractor of the Year Award from the Ohio State Chiropractic Association (OSCA). He was a contributing author for OSCA’s “Scoliosis Manual” and “Supportive Care of Chronic Conditions” position paper in addition to co-authoring their “Backpack Safety Manual
Dr. Mitchell Fleisher
Dr. Mitch Fleisher is a double board-certified family physician specializing in classical homeopathy, nutritional and botanical medicine, chelation, bio-oxidative, and bio-identical hormone therapy with over thirty years experience practicing the gentler art and science of integrative medicine.  Dr. Fleisher has served as an active member of the clinical faculty of the National Center for Homeopathy, a Clinical Instructor for the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center and at the Medical College of Virginia, where he has taught homeopathy in the introductory complementary medicine programs, and has and continues to lecture throughout the U.S. and internationally on classical homeopathy and nutritional therapy to both medical professionals and the lay public.  Dr. Fleisher has served on the faculty of the New England School of Homeopathy and as a Clinical Preceptor for the esteemed Hahnemann College of Homeopathy, and is a graduate of both of these homeopathic institutions.  He attended Stanford University School of Medicine, during which time he began his homeopathic studies in 1975, and he is a former Assistant Clinical Professor of Family Medicine at the Medical College of Virginia and former Associate Medical Director of the MCV/Blackstone Family Practice Residency Training Program, of which he is a graduate.  He is also a former Assistant Clinical Professor of Family Medicine at the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine, Diplomate of the American Board of Homeotherapeutics and Diplomate Candidate of the American Board of Chelation Therapy.   
Dr. William Hamilton
After graduation from the University of California at San Francisco in 1972, Dr. Hamilton practiced as a hospital and community pharmacist in California and Montana. He joined the faculty at Creighton University School of Pharmacy and Health Professions in 1993. An interest in complementary or alternative approaches to chronic health problems has served as a guide to teaching a course titled “Survey of Alternative Medicine” and development of nutraceutical topics in required courses. Dr. Hamilton has contributed to books and articles discussing nutraceutical therapy, and given numerous presentations regarding integrated and alternative approaches to health care.
Dr. James Hill​
Dr. Hill, is professor of pediatrics and medicine and director of the Center for Human Nutrition at the University of Colorado at Denver. He holds a BS degree from the University of Tennessee and MS and PhD degrees from the University of New Hampshire in physiological psychology. Hill served as chair of the first World Health Organization Consultation on Obesity in 1997. He is a past president of the North American Association for the Study of Obesity (NASSO). He was also a member of the Expert Panel on Obesity of the National Institutes of Health that developed the first U.S guidelines for the treatment and prevention of obesity. Hill has published more than 350 scientific articles and book chapters in the area of obesity.  He is also the author of the Step Diet Book, published in June 2004. Much of his writing focuses specifically on the importance of physical activity in weight management. In particular, Hill is interested in how diet and physical activity influence body weight and how a high-fat diet and inactivity may contribute to the current global epidemic of obesity. He is the recipient of the 2007 TOPS award from The Obesity Society. Hill has also received the Centrum Center and McCollum awards from the American Society for Nutrition. Hill is a co-founder of the National Weight Control Registry, a registry of individuals who have been successful in maintenance of a reduced body weight. He is co-founder of America on the Move, a national weight gain prevention initiative that aims to inspire Americans to make small changes in how much they eat and how much they move to prevent weight gain.Hill is leading an effort in Denver to make that community the healthiest in the U.S.
Dr. Joseph Kuderko
Dr. Kuderko attended college at the University of Illinois Medical School in Chicago before moving on to to Minneapolis to train at The University of Minnesota Ear Nose and Throat program. He is a Board Certified Otolaryngologist specializing in the treatment of medical conditions of the Ear Nose and Throat. Dr. Kuderko provides the latest in minimally invasive in-office procedures to make the lives of his patients better. His clinical focus is the treatment of chronic sinusitis, nasal problems, and inhalant allergies. His career has been spent both in private practice as a clinician as well as in an academic environment training ENT residents
Dr. Brian Lamkin
Dr. Lamkin chose major studies in Biochemistry and Microbiology while attending the University of Oklahoma, graduating in 1997.  Dr. Lamkin achieved a Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine in 2002 and then completed residency in Family Medicine at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City becoming board certified in 2005. Dr. Lamkin functions as Owner/ Medical Director of The Lamkin Clinic in Edmond, Oklahoma. In addition, Dr. Lamkin serves as Medical Director of Family Medical & Urgent Care Center in South Oklahoma City.  In 2007, Dr. Lamkin began to pursue expanded studies in preventative medicine. Additional training at Cenegenics Medical Institute in Las Vegas, Nevada, led to his certification as an Age Management Medicine Physician. Ongoing studies in functional medicine, exercise physiology, nutrition science, and individual studies in areas including telomere assessments, neurotransmitter testing, and micronutrient analysis add to the comprehensive nature of the medical care Dr. Lamkin provides for his patients at the Lamkin Clinic. 
Dr. Paul Orsulak
Paul is a graduate of the University of Scranton, where he received his B.S. degree with honors in chemistry. As an undergraduate, Dr. Orsulak participated in a research program investigating the biochemistry of Down’s syndrome and worked with Dr. Martin D. Appleton and others under a grant from the Scranton Area Foundation. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in biochemistry from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, MA, where he was a National Institute of Child Health and Human Development trainee.  Dr. Orsulak was Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, Harvard Medical School, at the Massachusetts Mental Health Center and Staff Associate in the Department of Pathology, New England Deaconess Hospital, where he co-founded a laboratory for specialized research studies and education in psychiatric chemistry of antidepressants.  Dr. Orsulak moved to the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas in 1982 where he was Professor of Psychiatry and Pathology.   He continued his research in various areas of  mental heath  and founded the  largest hospital based substance abuse testing laboratory in the country.    He was  Vice President for Clinical Affairs at Medtox Laboratories in St. Paul, Minnesota and has been has been a consultant for many major diagnostics and pharmaceutical companies, performing clinical trials and product evaluations.  Dr Orsulak has published more than 250 peer reviewed papers, book chapters and monographs and delivered more than 200 workshops and lectures throughout the US, Eastern and Western Europe and Australia.  
Dr. Anthony Slinger
Dr. Anthony Slinger is a Charles City chiropractor who graduated from Northwestern College of Chiropractic in 1993. He has been in private practice since March 1, 1994 in Charles City. The theme of Slinger Chiropractic is: “Healthy by Choice, Not by Chance”. Dr. Slinger is very passionate about lifestyle wellness and addressing wellness concepts with his patients and practice members. Slinger speaks around North Iowa on Wellness Initiatives and utilizes these concepts within the practice along with nutritional concepts to help individuals get and stay well. Slinger Chiropractic: A Creating Wellness Center was awarded the Worldwide Wellness Center of the year in 2010 by the Chiropractic Leadership Alliance. Slinger is a member of the International Chiropractic Association, Iowa Chiropractic Society and Christian Chiropractic Association. Slinger is married to his wife Carol of 22 years. Together they have 4 children and 2 grandchildren. They serve their community together, as Mrs. Slinger manages and runs the clinic. Their overall approach to health and wellness has produced one of the largest and successful practices in North Iowa where they look forward to helping anyone, no matter their age, that truly wants health gain!
Dr. Youko Yeracaris
Dr. Yeracaris is a consultant and has practiced in integrative functional medicine for 20 years.  She is not practicing as a family physician, but rather Holistic Medicine because she has much more than a mere interest.  Her practice ranges national to international and she serves on the board of Nutrition Round table at Harvard Medical School.  Her practice includes women’s health especially using herbs and bio identical hormones, also a focus on autoimmune disorders and endocrine dysfunctional disorders, including cardiometabolic disorders.   She has a subspecialty in autism spectrum disorders and is also a certified acupuncturist and classically trained homeopath.  Dr. Yeracaris has worked extensively with gut disorders from Crohn’s to ulcerative colitis to diverticulosis to cancers, and getting patients off their steroids and medication with healthy results.  She works with disorders from chronic fatigue to fibromyalgia to adrenal insufficiencies to thyroiditis, all with either a blend of allopathic meds or herbs.

Advisory Board

Rick Brimacomb

Mr. Brimacomb began advising and investing in early-stage and emerging companies as a venture capitalist in 1991. Prior to that time, he covered and worked with early-stage companies as a research analyst and investment banker. For over two decades, Mr. Brimacomb has helped numerous companies develop into “investment grade” opportunities, attract funding and create shareholder value.

 

In 2005, Mr. Brimacomb founded his own advisory practice, Brimacomb & Associates, where he assists business leaders in refining strategies, assembling resources and securing funding. In essence, Mr. Brimacomb’s main responsibility at Brimacomb & Associates is to act as a shareholder value architect on behalf of his portfolio companies.

 

Prior to founding his own firm, Mr. Brimacomb joined Sherpa Partners in 1998 and co-founded the Sherpa Trek I venture capital fund in 2001. At Sherpa, he was responsible for firm strategy, fundraising, deal flow, due diligence, investment decisions, portfolio company support, executive recruitment, marketing, operations, public relations, investor relations, finance, legal and human resources.

 

Previous to Sherpa, Rick was Senior Director at Smaby Group, Inc. where as a venture catalyst he led strategic and financial advisory practices serving early-stage companies. He also co-founded Cartia, a venture capital-backed software startup, where he was Vice President of Finance and ‘right-hand-man’ to the Founder and CEO.

 

Mr. Brimacomb’s early-career experiences include venture capital, investment banking and investment research at Norwest Venture Capital, Piper Jaffray and Needham & Co., respectively. At Norwest, Mr. Brimacomb focused on traditional venture investing and management buyouts. At Piper he was active in public and private offerings, mergers and acquisitions and venture capital. While at Needham, he was a research analyst covering high technology companies.

John Buck
John Buck has served as Non-Executive Chairman of the board of Medica and previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Medica from February 2002 to May 2003. Mr. Buck serves as the Chairman of the Board of Patterson Companies, Inc. Mr. Buck is the principal owner of Whitefish Ventures, LLC, a family investment fund. He has been its Chief Executive Officer since 2000. Previously, from 1996 to 2000 Mr. Buck worked for Fingerhut Companies where he held senior executive positions, including President and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to Fingerhut, Mr. Buck was Vice President of Administration at Alliant Techsystems, a leading supplier of aerospace and defense technologies. Prior to that, Mr. Buck spent 21 years at Honeywell, Inc., including a four-year international posting, and most recently serving as Vice President of Administration. He served as a director of Evine Live, Inc. from 2004 to 2015. Mr. Buck also previously held executive positions at Graco Inc.
John W. Francis

John Francis A franchising industry expert and consultant with 30+ years of experience who is looking to help founders and franchisors with strategy and execution so they can improve their performance. Experience includes strategic consulting and business transformation, acquisition integration, board development, executive coaching and new growth options for franchise brands and systems. He typically work as a consultant with founders, partners and members of the ownership group and executive management team.

John grew up in the franchise industry with the opportunity to watch and learn from some of the best – experiences that shaped his career and inspired his passion for franchising done right. Today, he pays it forward by offering his perspective, experience, advice, and connections to select franchisees, franchisors, and suppliers so they can “see what they don’t see” and achieve their highest levels of success.

John’s franchising career began in the mid-1980’s when he became involved with my family’s franchise system, The Barbers, which was the franchisor for Cost Cutters, City Looks, and We Care Hair. There, he played a large role in the $59 million acquisition and integration of our 1,000+ salon franchise organization before moving on to roles as a franchisee, multi-unit owner, area developer, franchisor, and board member for organizations such as The International Franchise Association, PostNet, Sport Clips, Big Frog, Office Pride, Seva Beauty, and more.

Damon Johnson

Damon Johnson serves as the vice president of Enterprise Strategic Growth within Global Enterprise Solutions (GES) for Cox Automotive. Before joining Cox Automotive, Johnson started a digital agency in 1994 called DeemJay Consulting and in 2001, Johnson co-founded CDM data and CDM dealer services, which was named “2002 Small Company of the Year” by Fortune Magazine and acquired in 2004. Damon has started several successful businesses focused on digital marketing, retail solutions, social media, and sustainability. Damon was also on the Board of Directors for CocoKefir, the maker of coconut-based kefirs and yogurts that are fermented with vegan probiotic cultures, which was acquired by Millennium Products, Inc. (the parent company of GT’s Kombucha). On a personal level, Damon has also dramatically changed his mental and physical wellbeing through exercise and adopting a gluten-free, dairy-free, and probiotic diet. Johnson currently serves as an Advisory Board Member of MyFormulary.
